The Finance Department of the University encompasses the Controller's Office and the Office of Budget, Treasury and Research Administration. These offices are dedicated to ensuring the integrity of data submitted, recorded and reported and to providing the highest level of financial services in support of the University's mission in Biomedical Research.
Reporting to the Assistant Director of Treasury, the Treasury Manager will have various responsibilities related to Treasury support, expense reporting, and Finance Office program support. The Treasury Manager will supervise the Treasury Assistant/Cashier, liaise with banks on banking relationships and services, be responsible for all functions and reconciliations for the Rockefeller University (RU) Visa and AmEx programs, interface for the Accounts Payable ACH mechanics, conduct confirmation of bank/wire instructions for new ACH/Wire vendors, identify and apply funds received via ACH, work closely with the Controller's Office to establish business processes for expanding uniform treasury services and documentation, initiate Capital Calls for Investments, and provide back-up to the Associate Vice President as needed. Will review and approve employee expense reimbursements, periodically review and update University travel reimbursement guidelines, track and reconcile multiple RU programs including loan files, assist with the University's insurance needs, attend the Child and Family Center's meetings as a Treasury representative, and assist with the Child and Family Center's tuition schedules, data collection, and tuition rate setting and account analysis. Will oversee the Office Assistant for data input of the University's credit card expense reports/reconciliations, maintain a record of international travel and provide a report for yearly 990 Reporting, document policy and procedure updates for treasury and A/P functions, and assist with special projects, such as automating expense reports.
Bachelor's degree in accounting, finance, or related. Must have a minimum of 5 years of relevant business experience, strong analytical skills, exemplary communication (writing and speaking), and good people skills. Must be proficient with all Microsoft Office programs (Excel, Word, PowerPoint, etc.). Experience with Oracle-based programs a plus. Must complete special projects as assigned.
